Southport Bowl has undergone a bold and exciting transformation with the addition of a new glow-in-the-dark mural that brings colour, energy, and story to the space. 

This striking installation is more than just a vibrant update—it’s a tribute to Southport’s proud legacy and forward-thinking vision. The mural effortlessly combines historic aircraft that once served the region with vibrant depictions of amenities found at Central Plains RecPlex, including rock climbing, fitness equipment and, of course, bowling. 

Adding a fun, proud Canadian twist, the mural also features some of Manitoba’s native wildlife, offering a playful and engaging touch that’s sure to delight kids—and captivate visitors of all ages. 

Commissioned as a long-term investment in both atmosphere and community pride, the mural reflects Southport’s ongoing dedication to health, recreation, and environmental stewardship. 

Created by local Winnipeg artist Rachel Lancaster, the glow mural adds depth, movement, and a uniquely immersive vibe to Southport Bowl—transforming the space into a glowing celebration of Southport’s past, present, and future.
